Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been taking Twitch by storm ahead of its release as a part of PS Plus’s Aug. line-up of free games—and for good reason. It’s a welcome twist on the battle royale formula, pitting 60 players against each other in a variety of bombastically colored obstacle courses. It’s shaping up to be some great, summery fun, and will release on Aug. 4 2020 free for PlayStation Plus subscribers (until Aug. 31) and for purchase on Steam. But will it come to other consoles, like the Nintendo Switch? With its bright aesthetic, and friendly tone, it does look perfect to play on the portable.
Fall Guys coming to the Nintendo Switch?
Unfortunately, there is currently no official announcement that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will be coming to the Nintendo Switch or any other platforms. However, developer Mediatonic has said that, “We’d love to bring the game to other platforms further down the line.” Mediatonic isn’t a Sony first-party studio and so it seems entirely possible that the game could one day come out for platforms other than the PS4 or PC.
The developers have said that if folks want to see their delightfully bright battle royale on other systems, people should let the company know via Twitter or Discord. It’s an encouraging sign, but still no guarantee. That said, with the success that they are primed to have, we’re holding out hope that the Jelly Bean Factory will be spitting out Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout on other platforms eventually.
