The newest Animal Crossing: New Horizons update brought the Fireworks Show brand-new event, but it is only available for a limited time and on a very specific schedule. First of all, the Fireworks Shows are only for August and are not seasonal, meaning they will occur simultaneously in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Secondly, it’s important to note the shows only happen on Sundays, meaning that because there are five Sundays in August this year, there will, in turn, be five Fireworks Shows.

Lastly, the event only occurs at nighttime, so don’t expect to see anything special happening on your island before 7pm, except for the typical visit from Daisy Mae.

Once August ends, there will not be another Fireworks Show until 2021, so be sure to check it out before it’s too late! There are also rewards for showing up to each show and fun raffles to enter. After that, just sit back, either alone or with some friends, and watch the show.

Note: Even though it’s not part of the official gameplay, it does seem that you can time travel to get to the event at any time if you so choose.
