The players of Resident Evil 2 Remake, between a zombie-kill and the other, will have to solve some puzzles. You will encounter one of these – the Greenhouse Chemical Puzzle – near the end of the game: it consists of mixing a chemical solution to destroy a giant plant growing out of control.

To do it, players will need to mix the solution between three different tubes until they get the correct measurement (a riddle very similar to that of the gallons in Die Hard, if we want to look for something similar).

Please note that if you solve the puzzle in eight rounds, you will be rewarded with some concept art in the records section of the game, but first, you have to finish the game once (that’s why for the B scenario doesn’t matter how many moves does it take you).

Let’s see step by step how to solve it (please note that the solutions are different if you’re playing A Scenario or B Scenario)

First of all, you have to put the Dispersal Cartridge in the Synthesizer (the goal is to fill up the left side cartridge to where the red marker is, keeping in mind that each cartridge has a different height and can contain a specific amount of fluid).

Buttons Order / Combination: Red, Green, Blue, Red, Green, Blue, Red, Green

B Scenario (second playthrough)

Buttons Order / Combination: Blue – Red – Green – Red- Blue – Red – Blue – Green – Blue – Red – Green

How to Cool the Herbicide

Now that you have synthesized the herbicide, you have to cool it off:

  • Take the ladder for the basement
  • Look for a Signal Modulator
  • Put the frequency shown on the Switch Box
  • Put the Signal Modulator in the Switch Box to turn the power on
  • Enter the Low-Temp Testing Lab and cool the Herbicide
  • Return to the Control Room and disperse it in the Greenhouse
