Food is a fun part of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. Not only can you grow it in your field, but you can also learn recipes and make your own meals, but you will need a few things to do this. The first step is to get a kitchen, unsurprisingly. People who played the original version of the game may remember that you used to get your utensils from the TV Shopping Network. This is no longer the case, and you now get your utensils from the General Store in town.

Where it gets interesting is that you will need to have a kitchen before the store starts to stock these items, and it will only get certain items in at certain times of the year. As you play through the game, the store owner will let you know that they have a new item for sale, like a frying pan or a rolling pin. You should always snap these up straight away, as you never know when you will learn a recipe that you will be able to make. Always try to keep a few thousand golds in your wallet to make sure you can jump on the items when they pop up in the shop.

You can also buy things like the fridge to keep your food in, but you now get these from Gotts at his workshop on the south side of the map. Gotts is who you will go to to get your kitchen, expand your house and farm, and pick up things like a bigger fridge, cabinet, or new television.
