How to get Mag in Warframe

Opposites attract.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Mag channels magnetic forces to destroy her enemies and protect her allies. Mag has high shield values and low health values, so her build should reflect this. Her Pull ability allows her to drag enemies towards her, doing damage to them violently. Magnetize allows her to crowd control targets, doing damage to them, while Polarize emits a pulse of energy that strip enemy shields and armor and restore the shields of allies. Her final ability, Crush, lifts enemies into the air, and crushes them.

To get Mag’s components, you will need to farm the Sergeant at the Iliad node on Phobos. Every time you beat him and extract, you have a chance to get either her Chassis, Neuroptics, or Systems blueprints. The Sergeant is a straightforward fight for veterans, but newer players will need to watch out for his quickly recharging shields, invisibility, and powerful shots from his Lanka sniper rifle.

Once you have all the component blueprints, you can build Mag in the Foundry using the following resources:

Chassis

  • 15000 Credits
  • 1 Morphics
  • 1000 Ferrite
  • 300 Rubedo

Neuroptics

  • 15000 Credits
  • 150 Salvage
  • 1 Neural Sensor
  • 150 Polymer Bundle
  • 500 Rubedo

Systems

  • 15000 Credits
  • 1 Control Module
  • 1 Morphics
  • 500 Salvage
  • 220 Plastids

When all the components have been built, you can combine them with the main Mag blueprint. This blueprint can be obtained from the Market for 25,000 Credits. Each component will take 12 hours to build, while the Warframe takes three days.

While Mag is not considered a top tier Warframe right now, she is still a fun and useful Warframe to play, thanks to her ability to protect her allies and restore their shields. This function has been made even more useful thanks to the shield gating that was added to the game. Builds that focus on Range and Ability Strength are a good idea to maximize the impact of her various area of effect abilities.
