Only the finest of art pieces.

There’s a brand new wing for your museum that you can unlock in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The art you find can make a great addition to your museum, granted it’s not a fake, because that can certainly happen. Where can you find the art in the game, and how do you unlock it?

The first thing you need to do is unlock the art wing for your museum. You can do this by speaking to Blathers, and after he’s spoken to you about the hard work you’ve put into adding bugs, fish, and fossils to you, he’s ready to start accepting art. At this point, you need to wait for a full 24-hours to pass, and after that, Isabelle will tell you there’s a suspicious character walking around your island. You can find them hanging out around the front of your Resident Services building, and you find out it’s Redd. They have an art piece to sell to you, and once you receive it and give it to Blathers, you need to wait two full days before the art wing addition to your museum is constructed.

Now that your art museum has arrived, you’re ready to start adding more pieces of art to your displays and full it up with works from all over the world. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to find art, statues, or sculptures like you would fossils, bugs, or fish. You need to rely on speaking to Redd when the Treasure Trawler docks on your island. You need to talk to Redd, who is roaming around your island to speak to them about sticking around and selling more art pieces. You can do this on the same day the art gallery wing opens on your island.

Make sure to visit the Treasure Trawler whenever it visits to see what new pieces of art Redd has for sale. You can only purchase one art item each visit, so make sure it counts.

You don’t want to waste your one art item purchase on stuff you already added to your home or your museum. After you purchase the item, it takes a day to make its way to you. It’ll show up in your mailbox after your purchase. Be wary because you may have purchased a fake from Redd.
