Epic Games Store’s Holiday Sale Looks to Outdo Steam’s With Discounts, Coupons and Free Games

Steam has some big things planned for its looming Winter Sale, which kicks off sometime today. But Epic Games Store isn’t waiting on the competition, as it has already launched its huge event — with additional perks.
The site’s Holiday Sale 2019 is currently underway, offering a variety of titles for up to 75 percent off. These include hits like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order ($49.79), Borderlands 3 ($38.99), Control ($40.19), Red Dead Redemption 2 ($47.99) and The Outer Worlds ($44.99), among several others in both the AAA and indie categories.
But it’s offering a nice little bonus for buyers getting more than one game. After every eligible purchase of $14.99 or more, Epic will provide a $10 coupon to go toward the next one. These automatically apply to the next purchase. They should add up to significant savings if you’re looking to add to your growing PC game library.
Even if you don’t spend a dime, you can score some great games. Epic Games Store also has a 12 Days of Free Games promotion, with a new title being offered every day starting at 11AM EDT through Jan. 1, 2020.
