Mario Kart Tour Beats Call of Duty: Mobile As 2019 Most Downloaded Free iPhone Game

Apple has revealed the best selling paid games and most downloaded free games on the iPhone and iPad in 2019. Mario Kart Tour takes the top spot in the free games category, despite being released so late in the year.

The Cupertino company has not shared detailed figures, but we do know that Call of Duty: Mobile, one of the strongest runner ups in the free games category, has been downloaded more than 100 million times in its first week alone. This further states how much successful Mario Kart Tour has been thus far. Fortnite only ended 8th in the top free iPhone games.

There were no surprises in other categories, Minecraft was named as the top paid iPhone and iPad game, and Roblox dominating the free iPad games chart.
