Sony’s remake of the classic PlayStation adventure Medievil looks to spook up a storm when it arrives in late October. But, fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long to see what Sir Dan has in store. Sony has launched a surprise demo of the game.

Titled the “Short-Lived Demo,” it gives a taste of the Medievil remake, and it’s available for a limited time. It’s on the PlayStation Store now and is only available through Oct. 6. Players have more than enough time to download it and check it out.

This cartoony platforming adventure was a big hit on the PlayStation front. But now the developers at Other Ocean have brought it to life like never before, with improved textures, beautiful animation, and a stunning new world to explore. That should make it a perfect title for players to check out, just in time for Halloween.

On top of that, those who download the demo on the PlayStation Store are going to receive a free bonus goodie. Dan’s Helmet will be available for use in the full game if you check the demo out before Oct. 6. There’s a good glimpse of what the helmet looks like in the image above.

So what are you waiting for, PlayStation fans? Sir Dan isn’t going to take on these enemies by himself. Download the demo and get ready for the full game’s release when it arrives on Oct. 25.
