PlayStation Plus users can look forward to more free games in August. WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4 are making their way to Sony’s free game program next month. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly, and we don’t have any changes like last month. It also puts a cannonball right through the side of the rumors that were floating around last month.

Leaks suggested that it would be Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and EA Sports UFC 3 this month. That is not the case. It would have been strange to see two games from EA end up on PlayStation Plus, especially with EA Access arriving on the PlayStation 4 sometime soon.

WipEout Omega Collection combines WipEout 2048, WipEout HD and the HD Fury expansion into one delightful, gravity-defying racing package.

Race against the clock and other competitors to take home a podium win, unlocking dozens of ships as you progress through 26 tracks. Competition gets fiercer online*, with eight players duking it out in high-speed circuits. Alternatively, you can go one-on-one with a friend on the couch.

Sniper Elite 4 features you slipping through enemy lines as a lone sniper, taking on the might of Axis forces on the Italian peninsula. You have access to traps and explosives, melee takedowns, and an array of firearms to get the job done.

Both games will be available to download for free from August 6 until September 2. Until then, you can still get your hands on July’s free games. Detroit: Become Human, and Horizon Chase Turbo for free until August 5.
