Nintendo revealed that they were letting Brace Yourself Games, the developers behind the indie hit Crypt of the NecroDancer take a stab at another roguelike rhythm game, this time using The Legend of Zelda as a base.

Cadence of Hyrule – Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring the Legend of Zelda will be coming to the Nintendo Switch at the end of the week, adding another unique take on one of Nintendo’s classic franchises to the growing catalog.

The game has rhythm-based combat that has the player controlling Cadence, Link, and Zelda, as they move to the beat of a soundtrack that features both original music and 25 chiptune, remixed classics from Zelda’s storied history. Combined with the devs mixing up mechanics, items, and enemies, this game will give fans of both games something to be happy about.

It was just a short little trailer with music that they showed during the Direct, but that was all they needed to remind fans of the awesome indie coming just around the corner.

We already knew the title was releasing sometime in June, but the Direct showed us that it will be available on June 13.
