Phantasy Star Online 2 is headed West in Spring 2020| E3 2019

One of nearly 60 announcements that came out of Microsoft’s Xbox Press Conference showed that Sega is finally bringing Phantasy Star Online 2 to the West on both PC and Xbox.
The free-to-play MMORPG has been rumored to come over since as early as 2013, but none of those rumors ended up happening, much to fan’s disappointment.
The series that exploded into popularity on Sega’s Dreamcast has a massive following in Japan and other Eastern areas. All of the content that has come to the game over the years will be coming over to the West, letting players enjoy years of what developers have put into the game.
Phantasy Star Online 2 will support crossplay on both between PC and Xbox, allowing players to party up regardless of where they play. Players can enjoy the massive story of exploring and researching areas across different planets and objects in space with up to 12 other players. Phantasy Star Online 2 originally came out in Japan back in 2012 on PC, and it is playable over there on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch – via streaming.
The game releases in Spring 2020 for PC and Xbox in most Western countries, and it is unclear if the game will be coming to PS4 or Switch at a later date.
