Rockstar Games Supporting Google Stadia

Rockstar Games has been listed among the developers supporting Google Stadia, even though details on that support are still TBA. The name of the dev has popped up in the rundown of labels currently working on the streaming platform, which has been revealed yesterday as part of the Stadia Connect.
We don’t have particulars about what this support will mean in the future, but sure enough, there are a few games still missing the opportunity of a PC release in the Rockstar portfolio. Of course, we’re thinking of Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2, on top of games already on PC such as GTA V.
Just a few hours ago, we reported about Take-Two Interactive, owner of the label, opening at the possibility of a PC port, as “there is no downside to releasing the game on PC,” to use CEO Strauss Zelnick’s words during the latest call with investors and analysts.
As we’ve noted, that would mark the debut of the franchise on PC, as for some reason Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption have never been dropped on the platform even though Rockstar Games has quite a good track record over there. A partnership with Google could be a good assist for that to happen with RDR 2, now that Red Dead Online has left its beta stage.
There’s a rumor around that Red Dead Redemption 2 could be releasing on PS5 and Xbox Scarlett last year, and if this happens, the game could follow GTA V’s footsteps as it was originally launched on PS3 and Xbox 360, then got ported on current-gen consoles and PC almost at the same time.
