In today’s Pokémon Direct, Nintendo finally revealed when fans are going to have the opportunity to get their hands on Pokémon Sword and Shield— and it is sooner then you expect.

The games, coming to Nintendo Switch, are set to release on November 15 for the usual RRP price across the world.

Sword and Shield were initially revealed a few months ago and take place in the Galor region and are the 8th games in the core RPG series. Players can choose from three different starter Pokémon on their journey in hopes of capturing a ton of new creatures exclusive in the region.

Like with previous games in the series, you will need to train to be the very best like no one ever was, fielding a team of six Pokémon. Throughout your quest, you will come up against a series of friends and foes as you forge your destiny.

It is the first time that a core RPG Pokémon game has appeared off of a handheld device and Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are sure to use the power of the Switch to make the games the best entries in the series to date.

There will also be a dual pack released on November 15 for those who want both. You can pre-order your copy from the Pokemon Sword and Shield website.
