Pokemon Rumble Rush, the newest Pokemon mobile game from The Pokemon Company, has just launched globally on Android. Version 1.0.3 has hit the Play Store and is now available to download on your Android device.

The new update brings some bug fixes to the game to prevent some crashes, issues with the Pokedex where it would fail to update an entry despite the relevant Pokemon having been caught, and an update to the game’s Term of Services.

In Pokemon Rumble Rush, you are tasked with exploring various areas and islands, searching for and catching Pokemon, and trying to get Ore for upgrades to make your Pokemon more powerful. A powerful boss gates each area, and you cannot proceed until you are strong enough to defeat them.

The areas you play in have specific Pokemon that live there and will rotate every two weeks. As such, if you want to catch them all, you will need to revisit the game over and over again. I’ve been playing it for the last week or so, and while the game is shallow, it is a bit of fun and prime entertainment while you are waiting on a bus or walking to the shop. It is basically a large collection game that keeps you invested from the assumed desire to catch as many Pokemon as possible.

There is no sign of the game on the Apple Store yet, and we still don’t know when it will be coming to iOS devices. We will keep you updated with any news that breaks around the Apple release.
