Coming to your game playing devices on April 3, Borderlands: Game of the Year is more than just a simple visual upgrade of a now ten-year-old game. Freshly announced by Gearbox during their PAX East stream, the game will now include many features that have become hallmarks of the series.

While Shift Codes were only introduced in Borderlands 2, they will now be a part of Borderlands: Game of the Year. There will be new weapons, character heads, those lovely gold chests and keys, and yes, plenty of visual upgrades as well in the form of improved lighting, character models, and textures.

The game will also include all 4 of the original add-on packs, providing you with a whole lot of content. There will also be some other improvements made to the game, like a minimap, and support for four-player split-screen co-op. PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X versions will also support delicious 4K, and HDR lighting.

This should be enough to keep eager Vault Hunters happy until Borderlands 3 releases! At the moment, we don’t have any information on pricing or download size, but we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
