With NBA 2K23, 2K Sports has introduced a brand new system for players to earn some of the most powerful cards in the game. The Trophy Case allows collectors to slowly build up a collection and fill out their team with top-tier talent. However, to unlock these cards, you need to first earn several different cards for your Trophy Case. On January 13, 2K significantly changed how you can get these cards, which might be confusing if you’ve been playing since day one. Below, we’ll show you exactly how to earn every Trophy Case reward in MyTeam

Trophy Case Breakdown for NBA 2K23
With the Season 4 update, earning Trophy Case cards is a bit simpler to explain, but more annoying to actually do. No longer will you be grinding through specific modes. Instead, you’ll need to do agendas with specific teams and agendas. These can all be founding the Trophy Case tab within the Season Rewards menu. Let’s break it all down. Keep in mind that you’ll need to do the objectives for each team to unlock them all.
Trophy Case Item | Where do you earn it? |
---|---|
Historic Pennant | Win 5 Clutch Time Offline games using 5 players from a team |
Elite Franchise Highlight | Player or Team specific objective |
Elite Franchise Accolade | Player or Team specific objective |
Elite Franchise Moment | Player or Team specific objective |
Current Pennant | Player or Team specific objective (generally scoring 30 threes) |
Historic Jersey | Player or Team specific objective |
Series 1 Lock (Trophy) | Lock in Series 1 Players or win 15 Triple Threat Offline using 5 players from a team |
Centerpiece | Complete all 14 other Agendas for each team |
Legendary Franchise Moment | Player or Team specific objective |
Current Jersey | Player or Team specific objective |
Historic Team Photo | Player or Team specific objective |
Rare Franchise Accolade | Player or Team specific objective |
Domination Trophy | Beat a team on All-Star in Current Domination or win 3 multiplayer games using 10 players from a team |
Rare Franchise Moment | Player or Team specific objective |
Current Team Photo | Win 5 games using 10 Series 1 players from a team |
As you can see, this process can be a bit annoying because you’ll need to look through the Agendas for each team to see what you need. For example, to get the Philadelphia 76ers Elite Franchise Highlight you need to score 100 points with Bobby Jones, but to get the same reward for the Milwaukee Bucks you need to get 20 rebounds in Multiplayer games. Thus, it’s best to focus on one team and use the in-game tracking to keep tabs on what you need to do.
The biggest annoyance is that, if you’ve progressed toward a team’s reward in a previous season, you’ll essentially need to start that team over. With the Centerpiece locked behind completing the other 14 Agendas, it doesn’t matter if you’ve already received the pieces, you’ll still need to earn them. 2K might add new ways to earn Centerpieces in the future to help players who are having that issue out, but they haven’t said anything official about it. We’ll update this post if they do.
