NPD Group has shared the sales data for the month of October in the United States, revealing that Call of Duty Black Ops 4 was the best selling.

Not only Activision and Treyarch’s shooter was the best selling game of the month, but also of the year so far.

Second spot is of course grabbed by Red Dead Redemption 2, which has managed to sell three times more than the original RDR at launch and is also second of the year.

Third this month is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, that’s also had a good month in consideration of the huge competition it had to face.

Hardware sales raised +26% year-on-year and PS4 was the best selling console this month. It had the best October for a PlayStation platform since the PS2 in 2002.
