BioWare’s legions of fans around the world are about to get their hands on the upcoming Anthem early next year, but they’ve also been left wondering about the status of some of the studio’s other popular properties in the interim. Beloved franchises like Dragon Age and Mass Effect seem to have fallen by the wayside since the hype train for Anthem pulled into the station, but BioWare general manager Casey Hudson has made it clear that there’s still something new coming for fans looking for more from those familiar series.

In the BioWare Mid-Summer Update, Hudson reiterated that the BioWare team knows how much fans want more of Dragon Age and Mass Effect. “Rest assured that we have some teams hidden away working on some secret stuff that I think you’ll really like—we’re just not ready to talk about any of it for a little while,” he said.

It’s unclear what kind of “secret stuff” is being talked about at this point, but hopefully after the Anthem madness starts to die down post-launch, we’ll have some sort of insight into what’s next for both worlds. Mass Effect Andromeda performed poorly when it debuted, and the last dalliance fans had with Dragon Age was with 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Following Mass Effect Andromeda, the science fiction series was said to have been placed on hold, and we’ve heard hide nor hair about what’s next for Dragon Age beyond Hudson’s previous comments about how the new title will be something of a “live” experience.

Hopefully these comments herald more information to come as we patiently wait for our chance to return to these storied worlds.
