Get ready to take fart jokes and crab people on the go. It looks like South Park: The Stick of Truth is coming to Nintendo Switch, according to Ubisoft’s latest FQ1 2019 press release

Obsidian Entertainment’s first stab at a South Park-centric RPG was released back in 2014 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. It was followed up by South Park: The Fractured But Whole, which made its Switch debut earlier this year. It was the first South Park game since Chef’s Luv Shack to appear on a Nintendo system. Despite getting a re-release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 last February, South Park: The Stick of Truth has not been available on the Switch.

South Park: The Stick of Truth was a high-fantasy spoof-up of Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. It followed a custom character for the player, the “New Kid,” who just moved to South Park to escape their “painful” past. They meet up with Kyle, Stan, Cartman and Kenny to begin a career in LARPing, discovering the all-important Stick of Truth. The role-playing fantasy war explodes as the gang is pitted against aliens, gnomes, Nazi zombies, Kardashians, and a smattering of other characters.

The Stick of Truth will be coming to the Swtich as a digital download. While there is no hard date, this version will be coming within the next few months. The two games will be united on Nintendo’s hot console, which works for us because honestly The Stick of Truth is better than its successor.
