Step 1

You will first need to interact with the Star Chart onboard the H.E.L.M. This is something you will want to do when you initially arrive at the H.E.L.M. It should be in the hallway, to the left of where you enter this location.

Step 2

You should have already gone through your first Ketchcrash activity by this point. Because you’ve done it once, you should have Map Fragments and Treasure Map information, which you can now use with your Captain’s Atlas. Go to your Quest Tab and interact with the Captain’s atlas, applying the Map Fragment and Treasure Map information.

Step 3

After interacting with the Captain’s Atlas, you will now access Expedition activities. You will uncover buried treasure at these locations. You will now need to complete your first Expedition to proceed through this quest.

Step 4

It’s time to go out on your first Expedition. This activity will be one you can revisit after you acquire enough Map Fragments and Treasure Coordinates by playing through Destiny 2. This activity will focus on getting you and your crew plenty of buried treasure to celebrate over.

Step 5

With your first Expedition completed, it’s time to return to the H.E.L.M. You will now need to interact with your Star Chart to select one of the various upgrades available to you to give you further benefits during the Season of Plunder.

Step 6

Now that you’ve done a Ketchcrash and an Expedition, it’s time to take the fight to the Pirate Captains themselves. Your first one will take you to the Pirate Hideout owned by Val’aug, the Brute.

Step 7

After completing the Pirate Hideout mission, you have to make your way to the Ether Take holoprojector in the Eliksni Quarter. You can reach this location by visiting the H.E.L.M, which will be one of the options available on the screen’s left side.

Step 8

After making your way to this part of the city and interacting with the holoprojector, it’s time to pay Spider a visit. You can now find him in the Last City: Eliksni Quarter, and he’s not too far away.

Step 9

You will also need to check in with Spider for this part of the quest, but it appears to be tied into the previous one, so no further steps are required.

Step 10

You have completed all required steps for the Sails of the Shipstealer’s first week in Season of Plunder. Return next week on Tuesday to figure out the next steps.

Step 11

The second week has begun in Destiny 2, and it’s time to make your way over to the Star Chart in the H.E.L.M to work on the next series of quests.

Step 12

Your next step will take you on one of the Expedition quests, where you will be battling against multiple combatants as you attempt to loot buried treasure. You must defeat at least 50 combatants to progress to the next phase.

Step 13

After you’ve gone through the Expedition and defeated the 50 combatants, the Pirate Hideout for the Sharpshooter will be available. Work your way through it, and progress to the next step.

Step 14

Once you’ve completed the Sharpshoot Outpost, make your way to the Eliksni Quarter in the H.E.L.M. There, you must watch an interaction between Spider and Mithrax.

Step 15

Make your way to the Holoprojector, where Drifter will want to have a quick conversation with you regarding the Relics.

Step 16

You now need to return to the Spider, hopefully without having to watch an awkward conversation between him and another.

Step 17

The next step of the Sails of the Shipstealer will occur at the next weekly reset.

Step 18

With a new week comes new quest steps. Return to the H.E.L.M. and head over to the Star Chart to hear an update from Mithrax, which will open the next step.

Step 19

Next, you’ll be heading back into Expeditions, where you’ll need to complete the activity, dig up treasure, and defeat 50 combatants anywhere in the system. Expedition defeats grant more progress, and unless you’re doing nothing but throwing treasure, you’ll complete this step in a single activity.

Step 20

It’s now time to take on another Pirate Hideout, this time against the Blademasters, a fight against two Cabal boss-level Gladiator enemies, and plenty of Cabal and Fallen mobs. Complete the encounter and collect the relic to progress to the next step.

Step 21

Now comes the story section of the weekly mission. Go to the Eliksni Quarter and watch the exchange between Eido, Spider, and Mithrax. Some family tension has begun to brew, and it looks like it will only get more heated as the weeks progress.

Step 22

Head outside the Ether Tank where Spider lives and visit the holoprojector there. Drifter will have some advice about the family issues you just witnessed and will try to reassure you in a way only he can.

Step 23

Return to Spider for more “rewards” and a little more story. Eido continues to pry into things her father wouldn’t want her to know.

Step 24

The next steps in Sails of the Shipstealer will unlock next week.

Step 27

It’s time to return to the Star Chart and begin this week’s series of quest for the Sails of the Shipstealer storyline.

Step 28

After speaking with Eido at the Star Chart, you next task is to embark on Expeditions to earn buried treasure. You will need to complete this activity, and you will need to defeat 50 enemies on Europa to progress to the next step.

Step 29

After you’ve gone through the Expedition and defeated those combatants, it’s time to visit the next Pirate Hideout, owned by the Beast Tamer. This week’s Pirate Lord hideout comes with a twist.

Step 30

With the Relic acquired from the Beast Tamer, return to the H.E.L.M and make your way to the Ether Tank Holoprojector in the Eliksni Quarter to hear another conversation from Mithrax, who has been keeping a secret from you, and the others.

Step 31

The next step will take you to Spider, who should be close to the Holoprojector. He has another reward for you this week, which should be better than the previous ones.

Step 32

After your check-in with Spider, visit him again to continue the quest.

Step 33

Now, you w are waiting for Mithrax and Eido to return to you regarding information about the relics. We will need to wait until next Tuesday to continue the quest.

Step 34

The new week has arrived, and for the fifth week in Destiny 2, you will need to start this mission by visiting the Star Chart at the H.E.L.M.

Step 35

After speaking with Mithrax, you must continue the good fight against the old crews. You can do this by heading on an Expedition quest to loot treasure and defeat Champions. However, you can earn more points by defeating Champions in Master Ketchcrash missions.

Step 36

After cutting your way through the Champions, and gathering treasure, the next step is to take on the Pirate Lord, Arask. You will need to proceed to the Bully’s Hideout, which you can find on the H.E.L.M menu.

Step 37

With the Pirate Lord defeated, you set your eyes towards peace talks with Eramis and Eido on a neutral asteroid base.

Step 38

Now that you’ve learned about Mithrax’s past, it’s time to return to the H.E.L.M., and return to the Eliksni Quarter to continue your story mission.

Step 39

Now that you’ve spoken with Eido about her father’s past, it’s time to pay a visit to the Spider. He will be a short distance from the holoprojector you used to speak with Eido. He has an engram for you to choose.

Step 40

It’s time to wait another week to continue this quest in Destiny 2.

Step 41

It’s time to make your way to the H.E.L.M and visit the Star Chart to start the next quests featuring the Shipstealer.

Step 42

Speak with the Drifter at the H.E.L.M

Step 43

After speaking with The Drifter, it’s time to get to work. Your first task is to loot Expedition bonus treasure chests, which means you will need to use your Atlas Treasure Map to grab Them. Also, you will need to complete at least 5 Ketchcrash activities. However, you can choose to do a Master Ketchcrash, which will hasten the progress.

Step 44

Make your way to the next Pirate Lord, Vrisk, the Coward, and defeat them. Like the previous Pirate Lords, you must defeat this opponent and their crew.

Step 45

After defeating the Hive that attacked Vrisk, the Coward’s compound, you can now return to the Eliksni Quarter and discuss everything that’s happened with Eido, Mithrax, and Spider.

Step 46

Now that we’ve seen the discussion between Drifter, who we’ve learned is named Germaine, and Eido, it’s time to make our way over to the holoprojector to speak with Mithrax.

Step 47

With those conversations finished, it’s time to make our way to Spider to see what Engram he has for us today.

Step 48

We now need to wait for the next quests to become available to continue this story.

Step 49

The new week has begun, and it’s time to return to the H.E.L.M to interact with the Star Chart, and begin the next sequence of quests.

Step 50

You’ll speak with Drifter at the Star Chart. He has a warning for you regarding the power you’re going after with the relics, and the potential for future trouble.

Step 51

It’s time to get to the meat of this quest and start hunting after the Expedition buried treasure. You will need to complete an Expedition mission and defeat combatants. You will gain bonus progress for using Season of Plunder weapons.

Step 52

Now that you’ve looted treasure and taken out multiple enemies, it’s time to hunt down the next Pirate Lord: Ithyks, the Scrapworker. There will be an icon on the H.E.L.M to battle against them.

Step 53

After defeating the Scrapworker, it’s time to make your return to the Eliksni Quarter and speak with Spider.

Step 54

You will need to speak with Spider again to progress this part of the quest.

Step 55

Similar to the previous step, talk to Spider again.

Step 56

Once you’ve spoken with Spider and received your weekly Engram draw from him, it’s time to give Mithrax and Eido some time with the next artifact. You will need to wait until next week to continue this quest.

Step 57

A new week has begun, Guardians, and it’s time to continue the Sails of the Shipstealer quest. Make your way to the H.E.L.M to start the next step.

Step 58

Because you are at the last portion of the quest, for this next step, you will need to secure Expedition buried treasure by completing an Expedition quest and celebrating with your crewmates. You can do this at the end of an Expedition or Ketchcrash mission by using any emote for several seconds.

Step 59

Upon completing an Expedition and celebrating with your crewmates, it’s time to take on the final Pirate Lord: The Lucent Brood. You can find them in the H.E.L.M menu and begin the quest, going by yourself or creating a fireteam of three Guardians.

Step 60

Now that you’ve completed the final Pirate Lord hideout and saved Eido, it’s time to return to the Elkansi Quarter to speak at the holoprojector.

Step 61

Now that you’ve caught up with Drifter, it’s time to pay the Spider a final visit, who shouldn’t be too far away from the holoprojector.
