Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus finally brings Nazi busting to Nintendo Switch today

MachineGames and Bethesda’s first-person shooter Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is finally available on Switch, having made its way over from the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC version released last year. The sequel to 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order is available to take with you on the go, just in case you have a hankering to turn Nazis into a red mist anywhere in the world.
With full Joy-Con support, the game lets you experience The New Colossus in ways you haven’t yet been able to on the previous platforms. The shooter looks like it’s right at home on Nintendo’s newest console, with a campaign that follows series mainstay William “B.J.” Blazkowicz as he struggles to topple the Nazi regime that’s conquered the world with strange science and propaganda machines. America has been overrun by Nazis, and neither “Terror Billy” or his memorable band of rebels are going to rest until the Third Reich falls.
The game originally released to positive critical reception and was showered with accolades, including several nominations at The Game Awards 2017. It has been praised for its poignant and comedic moments in addition to its over-the-top violence and shock factor, as well as its diverse and well acted cast of characters. It’s a welcome addition to the Switch’s rapidly growing library of ports of games you might’ve missed, but shouldn’t miss out on again. Bethesda has also ported versions of Doom and Skyrim to the dynamic Nintendo console.
