The Walking Dead: Our World AR mobile game revealed

AMC and Next Games have revealed a new mobile game set in the Walking Dead universe. It’s called The Walking Dead: Our World, and it’s coming to iOS and Android devices next month, with a brand new trailer to show off what kind of things we can expect from the game.
The augmented reality title will task players with facing off against walkers in the “real world,” as that’s where the AR comes in. You’ll interact with other players, as well as recruit fan-favorite characters like Daryl, Rick, and Michonne as you make your way through the adventure. With game mechanics similar to that of Pokémon Go, you’ll be able to explore your surroundings and fight off walkers wherever you are, whether it’s the mall, your living room, or on the way to work.
As you pulverize Walkers, you can “leave your mark” on areas in the game, collect characters, items, and weapons from the show, and participate in weekly challenges to gun for better rewards. You can even unite with other players to save survivors and build shelters to keep your city and your personal areas safe from Walkers still shambling about out in the wild.
The game’s available to pre-register for right now, with listings available on the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. The Walking Dead: Our World is set for a July 12 debut, so as soon as it goes live, you’ll receive a notification that allows you to download the game and get playing right away.
