All version exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Which exclusives do you want to add to your Pokémon roster?

Like every paired titles in the series, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has version-exclusive Pokémon, which means you won’t find all the same Pokémon in these games. This may dictate what version you purchase, but knowing what exclusives are in each game is important, especially if you want to complete your Pokédex. This guide covers all version-exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

You will need specific versions to catch every Pokémon in the game. Alternatively, you can attempt to trade Pokémon with players with those versions. If they do and are willing to catch that Pokémon for you, they can join your game and trade them over. We do recommend trading as the best route. You can typically find other players online willing to exchange Pokémon with you, especially if they don’t already have Pokémon from the version you’re playing.

Although trading is the best route, more inclusive four and five-star Tera raids have appeared following Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s launch that features these exclusive Pokémon for both versions. You need to ensure you reach the end of the game to unlock these more difficult Tera raids and have a proper team prepared to challenge these Pokémon. They are only available for a limited time, which is the primary downside.
