Splatoon 2’s Upcoming Splatfest Pits Chickens Against Eggs

It’s time for another Splatfest, and this one is sure to delight philosophers around the world. Splatoon 2’s upcoming U.S. Splatfest has players fighting against one another on either Team Chicken and Team Egg.
For those unfamiliar, the Splatfest theme references the “chicken or the egg” problem, in which scientists, philosophers, and historians argue whether a chicken or an egg came first on Earth. Check out some art below from the official Nintendo of America Twitter account showcasing Splatfest hosts Marina and Pearl’s choices between the two sides.
This weekend’s Splatfest begins Friday, March 9 at 8pm PT, but players can already hop into the game and pick a side. In the meantime, Splatoon 2 Starter Edition is on its way for later this month, with the new rerelease landing on store shelves March 16.
