There’s a wide selection of Final Fantasy games for mobile devices, from the recent debut of Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition to Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, both downsized versions of their respective console and PC games.

There’s no shortage of the brand being represented in terms of games you can take on the go, and now there’s another to add to the list in the form of Final Fantasy Awakening. It’s finally available for iOS users two weeks after it debuted for Android users.

The Android release gathered over 137,000 downloads since making its debut on the platform, which isn’t shabby for two weeks’ worth of availability. The game is a free-to-play title that was previously available in China and other Asian countries back in 2017 before finally hitting the U.S. this year.

The game is actually based on an older game in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy Type-0. It’s an often overlooked gem in the long line of games that the franchise has spawned, though it’s a violent riff on the typical magic-focused series that’s quite satisfying to play.

It originally debuted on PSP in Japan in 2011, but it debuted in the US with a remastered HD version for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC three years ago in 2015. If you enjoyed what Type-0 had to offer, you’ll definitely want to check out Final Fantasy Awakening
