Nintendo’s Dragalia Lost made an estimated $16 million in its first two weeks

Dragalia Lost, the latest Nintendo mobile IP, has grossed an estimated $16 million in its first two weeks of availability, according to statistics website Sensor Tower.

The game is an action role-playing title that’s set in a fantasy town where dragons and humans live side by side. Humans can wield a dragon’s power by taking its form, allowing the user to use different elemental attacks in battle.

Of the $16 million spent worldwide, $13.5 million was from the U.S. and Japan. This means that Dragalia Lost is the third-best title in terms of revenue in two weeks from these two regions combined, falling just short of the $15.6 million spent on Super Mario Run in its opening two weeks a few years ago. The game wasn’t close to Fire Emblem Heroes, however, which grossed $34 million in the U.S. and Japan in its opening two weeks.

Dragalia Lost is ranked No. 19 for downloads among all iOS apps in Japan and No. 512 in the U.S.,” Sensor Tower said. “For revenue, it is ranked No. 10 on Japan’s App Store and No. 62 on its U.S. equivalent. On Google Play, it is the No. 10 free app in Japan and ranks No. 184 on the same chart in the U.S. Its revenue through Google’s platform ranks it No. 5 by that measure in Japan and No. 32 in the U.S.”

This statistic also means that Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is still the worst performing mobile game to come from Nintendo out of the four titles the company has released. That game only made $9.8 million in its first two weeks in Japan and the U.S.
