Death Stranding Is The Name of the Catastrophe In The Game, More On Sam Bridges

The Death Stranding trailer YouTube description has provided us with more details about the story of the not so upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive by Hideo Kojima, and they’re of course worth looking at.
The description mentions that the name of the protagonist is Sam Bridges, so not simply Sam Porter which is apparently just a reference to the mansion of the character, and Bridges was also thought to be one of the organizations behind the tragedy that has occurred in the world of the game. So there’s a link between the two.
Also, “the Death Stranding” is named as the catastrophic event that has transformed the world of the game, so the name of the game has a connection to the game itself and is discussed in the story.
“From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defining experience for the PlayStation 4. Besieged by death’s tide at every turn, Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding,” the description says.
“Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre-defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.”
The title gets called “genre defined experience” twice so they really believe what they’re saying there, and likely this adds something to the fact that it’s not very clear what the gameplay itself is about yet.
Death Stranding is coming at some point on PS4.
