We have some bad news for Xbox fans just ahead of E3 2018. According to a report coming out from few credible sources at Kotaku, Crackdown 3 release has been delayed to 2019. If this turns out to be true then this will be third release delay of Crackdown 3 – the game was first scheduled to launch in November 2017, and then it was delayed to 2018, and now reports are coming that we will see one more delay.

Crackdown 3 Delayed To 2019

Crackdown 3 was first announced at E3 2014. It is currently in development at Sumo Digital. Back in 2017, Microsoft stated that Crackdown 3 will be one of the launch games of Xbox One X i.e. it will release alongside the console on November 7, but it was first delayed to Spring 2018, and now to 2019. The two sources didn’t provide the exact reason behind the delay, it is speculated in the gaming circle that there is a severe development struggle and hence Microsoft decided to hand over some additional development time to the game rather than scrapping the project all together like they did with Scalebound, Phantom Dust, and Fable Legends.

Kotaku has contacted Microsoft for an official word on this insider report, but they haven’t responded to it yet. You can check out the tweets of Kotaku’s Jason Schreier below.
