After the Star Wars Battlefront II debacle, Electronic Arts and DICE have made sure to deal with the Battlefield V microtransactions the best way possible, and apparently have managed to do that just right.

Battlefield V Features Two In-Game Currencies

As revealed by a rep to Polygon, the game will be featuring two different in-game currencies. One that can be obtained by playing, and the other that is set to be purchased using real world money.

This is basically the same system currently in use at Star Wars Battlefront II and probably the easiest way to manage the internal economy, something EA is carefully looking at now that the Premium Pass is gone.

As announced, Battlefield V is introducing a new customization mechanic that will make it more meaningful to purchase cosmetic items and won’t feature any loot box with randomized content.

It’s nice that, moving forward, we can get rid of this theme and look forward to the proper gameplay of the title to being revealed at E3 2018. The launch is slated for October 19 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
