During the last few hours, Konami has announced a compensation for the Metal Gear Survive gamers who had a tough time while trying to play in the early hours and days of launch due to server issues.

On top of that, a patch is also going to be applied today as soon as the scheduled maintenance period is over, fixing “several issues” and making “some balancing changes.” Among other things, the update is fixing “an issue with the Support Defender disappearing” and “reinstated” it “in your crew.”

Talking about the compensation, Konami is giving away 100 SV Coins and 1 Premium Boost pass (1 day) to everyone who created an avatar before February 27 at 14:59 (JST). To have it, you just have to log in and the game will deliver it automatically.

Metal Gear Survive Compensation For Launch Issue

The developers say “we know there have been some bumps during launch and we’re working hard to sort out the final issues,” and intends this compensation “as an apology” to the players who have supported the much-discussed survival game.

Metal Gear Survive is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and it’s the first release in the series after the separation between the original author Hideo Kojima and publisher Konami.

From the looks of it, while the game is still quite a… solid survival experience, sales data are not being positive for it at the time being: it was only sixth, with 5% the copies The Phantom Pain sold in the launch week, in the United Kingdom.
