Due to the new progression system, completing quests is fundamental if you want to level up in Destiny: The Taken King. This is why we want to help with this new guide about how to complete the quests in the latest expansion for Bungie’s shared-world first-person shooter. VETERANS TOUR
You can get this quest from the Speaker at the Tower, but have to be at level 34+ or own the main game and DLCs in year one by August 31. In terms of what you get by completing Veterans Tour, you will receive various items and shaders as a reward.
THE TAKEN KING: THE COMING WAR
If you have level 34+, go to Mars and embark on this quest. Specifically, you will have to go to Phobos and investigate the Cabal distress signal.
THE TAKEN KING: PETRA
Once you complete The Coming War story quest, you will unlock the Petra mission. Speak with Variks the Loyal then head to the Patrol Earth mission. You need to fight and kill Fallen Lieutenants to summon Taken Champions. You have to seek them out at the Divide, Skywatch and Rocketyard.
You collect Fallen Ether from killing Fallen Enemies and Blighted Ether from killing Blighted Taken enemies. The only place you’re able to find Blighted Taken enemies is from Patrol Missions on Earth. The Patrol Mission is marked by a skull & crossbones.
SHATTERED PAST
In order to complete this quest, which will be provided by Eris Morn at the Tower, you need to find at least one calcified fragment. Do not pick up more than one before speaking to Eris as users are reporting a bug that finding more before getting the first quest don’t count.
THE WOLVES OF MARS
Variks on the Vestian Outpost will provide you with this mission, anyway you will need to be at 40+ level in order to get it. Once you have completed the previous story quest, you will access to this mission which requires you to beat Fallen Pirates on Earth, Moon and Mars. Rewards you will receive are House of Judgement reputation and experience.
THE TAKEN WAR: VENUS
Complete mission Paradox and you will complete this quest, too. You can find it on the Vanguard table at the Tower, if you are 40+, and will get Legendary Marks, Vanguard reputation and experience as a reward.
THE VANGUARDS HAND
This is on the Vanguard table at the Tower, too. Complete the mission Dread Patrol, then head to the Dreadnaught and go to where you first entered during the main story. Defeat the incoming Fallen and mini-boss. The quest will give access to Legendary Marks, Vanguard reputation and experience as a reward.
A CRY FOR HELP
Find this on the Vanguard table at the Tower, then complete the strike “Fallen S.A.B.E.R.” to obtain a special weapon upgrade, Vanguard reputation and experience. You will be required level 40+ in order to access this mission but, at this point, that shouldn’t be an issue anymore.
THE LEGIONS BEACHHEAD
You will find The Legions Beachhead quest on the Vanguard table, at the Tower. In order to achieve this mission, complete the strike “Shield Brothers”, so you can receive Vanguard reputation and experience as a reward.
HIGH-VALUE TARGETS
Same location as before (Vanguard table), but you will need to complete A Cry for Help to unlock High-Value Targets. In order to complete this mission, you will have to take out high-value targets on Earth, Moon, Venus, Mars and Dreadnaught. Heavy weapon upgrade, Legendary Marks, Vanguard reputation and experience are awaiting for you as a reward.
NEVER ENDING BATTLE
On the Vanguard table you will find the Never Ending Battle quest which wants you to complete strikes in Vanguard playlist. In order to face this, anyway, you will have to complete previous Warlock Vanguard quests. Among the rewards you will find primary weapon upgrade and Vanguard reputation.
SUCCESSOR TO THE THRONE
At the Tower, Eris will give you this mission called Successor to the Throne, which requires you to complete the Sunless Cell strike. You need to have completed The Vanguards Hand mission before starting this one, and you will will get heavy weapon upgrade, Crota’s Bane reputation and experience.
A BROKEN WILL
Go back for Eris at the Tower once you have completed The Vanguards Hand mission, and you will unlock this quest that requires you to speak to Lord Shaxx. As a reward you will get a Legendary weapon.
