Barn find quests are a tradition in Forza Horizon titles, and these challenges have returned once again for Forza Horizon 5. Barn finds are challenges in which players need to survey an area, and find a hidden warehouse. Each warehouse holds a hidden race car, and the only way to obtain that car is by finding it in the open-world.
Mexico is filled with barn finds in Forza Horizon 5, and here’s where you can find these cars.
What are barn finds?
For those who are new to Forza Horizon, here’s a brief overview of barn finds. Barn finds are special quests where you tasked to find a series of abandoned warehouses. Each warehouse contains a rare car.
How to unlock barn finds
When you start Forza Horizon 5, you will not have any barn finds available. You will need to progress through the game by completing races and Accolades, and unlocking new chapters. As you progress the game, you will unlock barn find rumors. When you find a rumor, this means you are able to locate the barn and find the hidden car.
With that said, let’s take a look at the different finds for FH5:
Barn Find #1
1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck
The first barn find is found in the flatlands of Baja California.
This barn find, which contains a 1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck, can be found to the south end of De Otro Muno. It is denoted by the small purple icon.
Barn Find #2
1970 GMC Jimmy
The second barn find is a 1970 GMC Jimmy. This one is a bit different, as this barn find is located on the eastern side of the map.
This barn find is in a portion of land filled with rivers and trees, but the area where the barn actually is should not be too hard to find.
Barn Find #3
Renault Quatrelle
The third barn find is in the northwest portion of the map, right near the La Cabana House.
The find is a Renault Quatrelle, and it can be found in the location below, near the Duncas Blancas Sprint.
Barn Find #4
1976 Ford Racing Escort MK 1
The fourth barn find on this list is for a Ford Escort.
Look for an abandoned white building, much like with the other challenges, at La Gran Caldera.
Barn Find #5
1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
The fifth barn find is right in the middle of the map, and it’s a 1973 Porsche 911.
If you go to the north of Colina Aridas, you’ll notice a looping road. Go to the southwest of it, and you should find the barn.
Barn Find #6
1973 BMW 2002 Turbo
The sixth barn find is for a 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo. This one is in the northern part of the map, just to the west of Guanajuato.
Make sure you are grinding the Accolades and the Horizon Adventure chapters. Here’s why we say that. Look for the Fuera del Camino dirt race. The barn can be found directly to the north of the entry point for this event.
Barn Find #7
1968 Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback
If you love Mustangs, you might like this barn find. The reward for the seventh one is a 1968 Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback. This can be found in the north, near the city of Guanjuato.
This is an interesting one, as part of the rumored area spans part of the city of Guanajuato. Neglect this portion, and go north of the nearby XP board to find this barn.
Barn Find #8
1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
This next find is an old classic: a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO. You’ll need to go to the northeastern part of the map for this gem.
If you’re familiar with barn finds, you’d probably guess that Turn 10 would put the barn right in the middle of a whole bunch of trees. That’s the case with this one. Although, you won’t want to go near the massive bunch of trees to the north of the Costera drift zone. Instead, go to the corridor that’s south of the main highway, and to the east of the Los Jardines Circuit.
Barn Find #9
1956 Ford F-100
This barn find is at the Tierra Prospera, and is a 1956 Ford F-100.
This barn find can be found in the wide open fields of the Tierra Prospera, to the north of the Las Curvas drift zone. The drift zone is denoted by the white icon in the purple circle shown above.
Barn Find #10
1953 Corvette
This barn find is located right to the east of the last one at Tierra Prospera, so it shouldn’t be difficult to locate. This reward is an old one: a 1953 Chevrolet Corvette.
If you notice a XP board right near the highway, that’s a good thing. Go to the south and east of that board, and you should find it buried in some trees.
Barn Find #11
1989 Ferrari F40 Competizione
This barn find can be found near the Riviera Maya, to the west of the Horizon Apex outpost.
This one is extremely tricky, as it will involve driving through the jungle. To find this barn, go to the south of the mass of dirt roads in the area, and then move to the east. You should find the structure there.
Barn Find #12
Dodge Viper GTS ACR
This next find is right to the west of the previous barn. This can be found in the Gran Pantano region, which is located in the southeastern portion of the map. The reward is a Dodge Viper GTS ACR.
The barn is in the middle of the area, and it’s in the southern portion of the range. The barn can be found within a batch of trees, right where the second A in Pantano is on the map.
Barn Find #13
1968 Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock
The 13th find in the guide is for a 1968 Dodge Dart. This find can be found in the southern part of the map, in the Teotihuacan region.
If you go to the World Map, you will want to move your vehicle towards the area below the letter A on the Teotihuacan sign icon. There, you should find the barn. For reference, this barn can be located in the empty plains.
Barn Find #14
Jaguar Sport XJR-15
Before we get into the locations for this find, we must clarify something first. In order to unlock this barn find rumor, you must complete the Jungle Expedition and the optional objectives that go along with it. Part of the expedition involves finding a barn find rumor.
This barn find is for a Jaguar Sport XJR-15. It is located at the La Selva airport, where the Jungle Expedition challenges took place. You will want to go to the southern part of the airport, until you find the white building.
All vehicles can be claimed at the Auto Show. There will be wait time, however, so you won’t be able to access your new car right away. Wait a little bit, until you get the notification from the Garage that the car(s) is ready.
