How to get and use the Golden Egg rune in Tribes of Midgard

You can find multiple runes in Tribes of Midgard that you’ll be able to use on your character. The runes act as a passive, giving your character a distinct buff while they have it equipped. These passives vary from additional combat bonuses to cost reductions for the many stores and trade shops in your village that you are defending. One of these runes is the Golden Egg. How do you get the Golden Egg rune, and what does it do in Tribes of Midgard?
There’s a supposed theory surrounding the Golden Egg rune while you have it equipped. When you equip it, it increases the chances of Golden Roosters appearing during your game. These roosters are Roosters of Ragnarök, and when you find them, they drop Quest Fragments. This is only a working theory by a user who shared their experience on Reddit. Other players have used the Bifrost to leave the game with it, and still, nothing happened.
Beyond that working theory, the only other use for this rune is to sell it to the Golden Altar for 200 souls. So if you equip this rune and you’re hurting for souls, you’re better off selling the item and searching for a better rune to add to your inventory.
