Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.2 delayed as a result of large-scale cyber attack
CD Projekt Red says the next update is now scheduled for March.

Despite being targeted for a February release, Cyberpunk 2077’s next update, patch 1.2, has been delayed following a recent ransomware attack on developer CD Projekt Red. Although a specific new date has not been given, it is now slated to launch sometime next month.
In a string of new tweets on Tuesday morning, the developer attributed the patch’s delay to both “the recent cyber attack on the studio’s IT infrastructure and extensive scope of the update.” After the reveal, it subsequently announced that the update is now being aimed for the latter half of March.
It is not clear how impactful this patch 1.2 will be, but CD Projekt Red went on to say it “goes beyond any of our previous updates.” It also noted that it is continuing improvements on the game’s quality of life, ultimately hinting at several bugs potentially being fixed in the near future.
Even though CD Projekt Red is no stranger to delays, this time around may be the most understanding of all. The February 9 cyber-attack ended in hackers successfully getting ahold of the source codes for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, as well as internal documents. The company believes no customer or employee data was accessed.
