During last Wednesay’s Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that not one but two new fighters would be joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. These incoming characters, Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s Pyra and Mythra, will now be given their own spotlight in a livestream premiering in just a number of days.

This special event will officially be live on Thursday, March 4 at 2 PM GT, 9 AM ET, and 6 AM PT on the Nintendo YouTube channel. As usual, series director Masahiro Sakurai will be hosting this “in-depth look” and is said to reveal Pyra and Mythra’s launch date and move sets. Like any other character from the Fighter Passes, the two are expected to be accompanied by a new stage, soundtrack, and Mii fighter gear.

The reveal trailer for Pyra and Mythra does seem to point to them being one joint character selection, similar to when players could switch from Zelda to Sheik in past entries. It also highlighted that Pyra attacks are centered around fire-based sword combat, with Mythra offering more long-distance attacks and movement speed.

Like Pyra, the last DLC fighter, Sephiroth, also earned a second form — the powerful Winged Form that supplies additional strength and speed. The latest character addition will be the fourth challenger included in the game’s Vol. 2 Fighter Pass, and only two more are slated to be announced at a later date.
