Throughout Bowser’s Fury, you will consistently be attacked by a gigantic Bowser. The environment will darken, and it will start to rain. Bowser has a few attacks during this time, and you will take advantage of them when he is out like this.

When the rain comes, the Bowser-labeled blocks you are trying to destroy will glow red. You need to position yourself behind the blocks and wait for Bowser to charge up his beam attack. As he sweeps by with the attack, any obstructions in the way will be destroyed. Do not worry about taking damage. Even if it appears that the attack cuts through the blocks, you will be fine.

Wait for the attack to pass, and you can take advantage of whatever was behind or below the blocks. Sometimes, this course of action will unlock new platforms for you to jump up or climb on, or there may even be a Cat Shine hiding behind them.

Using Bowser in this way makes his attacks quite useful throughout the islands on this map. It happens quite frequently, with the warning sign being when it begins to rain. To instantly make the giant beast go away, grab a Cat Shine. Otherwise, you will need to wait for him to leave.
