Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War becomes one of the top 20 best-selling games in U.S. history

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War continues to break records as one of the most successful editions of the shooter franchise. It seems that Activision has cracked the code to making a game that players cannot get enough of. Since the launch of Cold War in November, it has been the top-selling game in the United States every month.
According to the NPD Group, in the three months since its original release date of November 13, Cold War has become one of the top 20 best-selling games in the United States.
Year after year, the Call of Duty franchise continues to have unending success. While the standalone Warzone battle royale mode brings in plenty of revenue through microtransactions, Cold War sold an incredible amount of copies outright.
Whether it was the appeal of the evolving Zombies mode or simply a love of the franchise, Activision continues to find great success with one of the most iconic franchises in all of gaming history. If this formula stays consistent, it would not be surprising if the next installment of the franchise earns this achievement as well.
