How to fast travel in Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy

More time playing, less time walking.

The early hours of Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy involve a lot of walking. You will need to explore the area surrounding the capital, visit your first ruin, and generally get to grips with the game. If you are wondering if the game has a fast travel system so you can avoid a lot of the back and forth that this involves, the answer is yes.

You won’t be able to do it straight away, so just keep playing through the story until you have visited your first ruin with Patty and Tao. After that you need to return to the city, then go and speak with Patty at her home. Here you meet Mr. Abelheim who will ask you to make him some bombs, and also help him look after the people in the city.

Once you have made Mr. Abelheim his bombs, you will need to visit the cafe in the Weisheit Academy District and speak with Zephine, the blonde woman behind the counter. She will give you a map, and this will unlock the fast travel system in the game.

Areas that you visit in the game will be added to the overall world map, and you can then click on them to get a list of potential spawn points within that region. Once again, you can only fast travel to places that you have already visited.

It’s a good idea to think carefully about when you need to fast travel. While it might seem to be a good idea to just zip around the map when you can, this might cut down on your chances to farm resources or experience, or to find secrets in the game in areas that you have already explored before.
