Best solo class options for Torghast in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Dig through the tower with your bad self.

Torghast is not for the faint of heart. The grueling survival tower in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands may reward you with Soul Ash and some precious legendary memories, but you won’t leave without some serious battle scars. Navigating Torghast on your own might seem like a suicide mission, but there are some specific class options that can help you get through the tower, thanks to scaling and balance. Let’s check out the best options below.

Guardian Druid

If you’re going it alone in Torghast, a Guardian Druid is one of your best options. You have a massive amount of health to work with, and you can typically wait out your cooldowns in between boss and miniboss battles. Try to choose an equal amount of offensive and defensive Anima powers with each layer you pass, but if you find your gear is working in your favor, don’t feel bad about favoring the offensive options. If you’ve done any Mythic+ dungeons in Shadowlands as a Guardian, you’ll do just fine in Torghast.

Beast Mastery Hunter

This could almost feel like cheating, as your pets will take the majority of damage coming your way inside the tower. Beast Mastery Hunters will not win any speedrunning awards in Torghast, so you’ll need to be patient and spend some time recovering from the damage that you’ll take, but keep up with Mend Pet and your companion will basically be a tank for you. Bosses will take some extra time to clear out, but any strategy you utilize will work thanks to your natural Beast Mastery abilities.

Outlaw Rogue

You should have seen this coming, as rogues are designed to be loners. While Outlaw Rogues are at an advantage thanks to melee interrupts like Kick and the crowd controlling of Cheap Shot, enemies can pile on the damage if you aren’t careful. That’s why you should stick to defense buffs as you pick up Anima Powers throughout Torghast. There’s no need to be a hero, as you’re getting the same potential rewards as any other time you run through the tower, so play it safe when you get to the more difficult floors. Concentrate on one pull at a time and take out every single enemy before moving on.

Protection Warrior

Just like the Guardian Druid, being a natural tank has its advantages when playing alone inside Torghast. If you miss your cue on interrupting someone, it’s not going to mean instant death, thanks to your deep health reserves. Be prepared to take some extra time on enemies, as the scaling will prevent you from laying into mobs like some other warrior classes. Stick to single targets, as Protection Warriors don’t spread damage well in difficult spots, and you’re not trying to beat the clock in Torghast.
