Aspiring chemists in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands have the ability to craft Shadestone as part of their training. This recipe requires a set of ingredients that we’ll detail below.

Crafting Shadestone

First, you’ll need to be sure that you have received Alchemy and Herbalism training for the Shadowlands expansion. You can learn these from Elixirist Au’pyr and Selector Au’mar, respectively, in the Hall of Shapes inside Oribos. If you need any extra supplies while you’re there, you can also pick them up from Distributor Au’naci in the same area.

Shadestone requires the following to craft:

  • 5 Ground Death Blossom
  • 2 Ground Vigil’s Torch
  • 2 Ground Widowbloom
  • 2 Ground Marrowroot
  • 2 Ground Rising Glory

Each “ground” version of the item takes two of the original flowers; for example, to get 5 Ground Death Blossom, you’ll need to pick a total of 10 Death Blossoms.

Gathering herbs for Shadestone

Fortunately, finding the necessary flowers for making Shadestone won’t be difficult, but you’ll need to put in the legwork to collect them.

Death Blossom is the most common plant growing throughout Shadowlands; in fact, if you stumble across any plant, it’s more than likely to be a Death Blossom, no matter which zone you’re in.

The remaining herbs are specific to each zone, and you’ll find them as follows:

MarrowrootMaldraxxus
Vigil’s TorchArdenweald

So, plan to spend a good amount of time in each zone as you look for the herbs you need. They’re not restricted to any small section of each zone, so take the time to familiarize yourself with the layout of all the Shadowlands zones — take a walk, unlock flight paths, and enjoy the scenery while you get everything you need to make Shadestone.
