How to use Black Ops Cold War guns in Call of Duty: Warzone

Doubling down on the franchise’s legacy.

The moment has come where the worlds of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War collide. For the first time ever, in Warzone, you can now use guns from both games. However, your classes from Black Ops Cold War won’t automatically carry over, so here’s how to use them in the battle royale.

Where to find Black Ops Cold War weapons

You can discover every single gun from both Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare from the “Edit Loadout” option. The amount of classes unfortunately remains the same, but the page now holds double the amount of guns. You’ll find each franchise’s guns in their respective weapon class, accompanied by a logo from where they originate from.

Thus, something like the MP7 will have a Modern Warfare logo next to it, as the XM4 will bear an image of Black Ops Cold War nearby.

Though, there is an absolutely spectacular exception. For guns that are featured in both games, players can choose which they’d like to have in their loadout. Secondly, Warzone also allows a single loadout to have a gun from each game in them (i.e. a Cold War primary weapon and Modern Warfare secondary weapon, or vice versa).

With more seasons to come from Black Ops Cold War, the weapons catalog is bound to feel claustrophobic. Luckily, in the top-left corner of the catalog, there is now an option to filter out which game’s guns you’d like to see. You can also use this tool to display the highest-level weapons first.

For those afraid their Modern Warfare weapons will soon be removed, there is no need to worry. Infinity Ward has confirmed that these older weapons will remain in Warzone for at least another year.
