What time does the Cayo Perico update come out for Grand Theft Auto Online?

Rockstar is promising the biggest update yet to Grand Theft Auto Online, releasing the Cayo Perico heist on December 15. They have stayed consistent with their previous patches and content drops, and although they have not announced a specific time for when the update will launch, a safe guess is somewhere between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM Eastern.
How to get the Cayo Perico update
If your PC or console is automatically configured to receive software updates, you should be able to start GTA Online with the included update once the download is finished. If you need to manually update, locate the game inside your Steam library, or on the main menu for your PS4 or Xbox One. When you check for updates, it should queue the download, and begin the installation process.
What to expect in Cayo Perico
Cayo Perico is a private getaway located far away from Los Santos. It’s run by El Rubio, who has untold riches from drug running and hosting parties for the elites of the world. New vehicles and 250 new songs through three new radio stations are all included in this update, as well as a heist you can do as a single player. If you have ever wanted to fire on a helicopter from a submarine, Cayo Perico is what you’ve been waiting for.
