One of the most popular dribbling animations in NBA 2K21, in both the current and next-generation versions, is the Curry Slide. The Curry Slide, named after Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, is an animation that allows you to quickly slide step on the court while also receiving a speed boost. This move is great for players looking to get opposing defenders moving and make life very difficult for the opposition.

When you have possession of the ball, keep an eye on which hand you have the ball in. The reason for this is because this will affect the input for this animation.

Now, when holding the ball, you will want to pull down and hold R/R3 down in a diagonal direction for a second or two. The direction that you pull down depends on which hand you have the ball in. Let’s break it down by hand:

  • If you have the ball in your left hand, pull down R/R3 diagonally to the right
  • If you have the ball in your right hand, pull down R/R3 diagonally to the left

Additionally, you also might make this change to your Dribble moves setup for MyPlayer:

  • Set Size-Up Escape Packages to Pro 2
  • Set Pro Stick Function setting to either Shots only or Default

Remember that you do not want to pull down R/R3 straight down when attempting to perform this animation. If you push the stick straight down, this will trigger a shooting animation.
