There is already so much to see on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s HUD that there always seems to be more indicators than enemies. This includes the health bars, a first for the Call of Duty franchise. Although it is nice to know when enemies are close to their demise, the addition may be unappealing for those who want a clearer view.

For the traditionalists out there, there is an option to eliminate these icons, along with many others from the HUD. Players will have to dig into the settings menu, either in-game or from the multiplayer main menu. From there, the option is hiding underneath the interface header in the “HUD elements” section.

In addition, if you don’t care about the livelihood of your teammates, you also have the choice to remove their health bar indicators. However, this will not remove your health bar in the bottom left corner. If you’re planning on playing Hardcore modes, this will not have to be done, as the entire HUD is removed anyway.
